This Project was purchased by KPL in June 2013.
The project comprises four Community Fire and Rescue Stations in strategically placed locations serving Gloucester and Cheltenham with a total Gross Internal Floor Area of 9,331m2 and a construction cost of £21M.
These modern and bespoke facilities provide accommodation and living spaces, appliance bays and training facilities as well as community space and a bespoke ‘Skillzone’ educational facility at Gloucester South.
These stations engage with the local community by providing facilities for their use to engender the sense that the buildings are embedded within their locale and are an open and welcome resource for the community. The schemes endeavour to instil ownership in the community which help to justify their location and use.
The facilities were completed in 2012 and will be maintained and operational for a period of 25 years.
