KAJIMA EXTENDS COMMUNITY USE SOLUTION

Kajima Community has been awarded the contracts to manage community use of Walbottle Campus Technology College, within the Newcastle BSF project, and Beaumont Leys School, part of Leicester BSF, with AURA Newcastle Ltd and Leicester Miller Education respectively. Both are prestigious, modern schools within their areas and part of the Building Schools for the Future programme.

Working in partnership with staff at the schools, the Local Authorities, Facilities Management companies (Robertson FM and G4S) and the Local Educational Partnerships, the Kajima Community team will manage and coordinate the use of the school’s facilities after hours and act as the first point of contact for booking enquiries with the aim of encouraging the wider community to make use of the school facilities.

Samantha Bell, Manager of Kajima Community said “Our operation is based on making it as easy and enjoyable as possible for our customers to use the wide range of facilities on offer. For example, our recently launched website where we take online bookings and payments, communicating with our users on a regular basis.”

The two new contracts are the first in a number of school projects in the pipeline for Kajima Community and they are currently working with other Local Educational Authorities to integrate Kajima’s award-winning solution for Community Use in to their schools. The Community team have attracted a great deal of interest in this area by offering an innovative, risk free solution to Local Authorities and Educational Partnerships.

Chris Smith, Senior Manager of Kajima Community commented, “We have over six years of experience in placing schools at the heart of their communities and are confident that we can give the local communities of both schools well managed venues that they can enjoy for many years to come.”
