Art and Design students from Kajima’s Caroline Chisholm School were recently given the opportunity to create a logo for the new BookingsPlus system, which is to be launched by Kajima Community on 1st March 2013.

The competition was won by Elizabeth Redden from Year 9, who after a brief description of the system from Joanna Doull, the BookingsPlus Manager, designed a very attractive logo that won her £100 of iTunes vouchers. Her prize was presented by Steve Howkins, Kajima Community’s Manager at the school.

The BookingsPlus system takes the pain of administration away from hiring school facilities to the local community. It is a fully online solution that can be accessed from anywhere, allowing users to market, book, receive payments and communicate with their clients, all from within one user friendly portal. It is unique in the market place, allowing schools to develop community use initiative and offer excellent customer service.

Joanna Doull remarked that “The calibre of the logos entered by pupils was very high and choosing a winner was extremely difficult. Elizabeth has interpreted the brief in a very eye catching way.”

Elizabeth was thrilled to have won the competition and said that one day she aspires to work in the design industry.
