Kajima’s subsidiaries, Stockley Park Estate Management and Stockley Park Consortium, have sponsored a car, a new Toyota Corolla which will be used by Botwell Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT). The local police team is using the car to enable them to get around the Botwell Ward for crime prevention visits, appointments and other police duties. Officers will also continue to patrol on foot and cycle as required.
Stockley Park has sponsored vehicles for the police since 2004 and has agreed to sponsor this car for another 3 years.
Inspector Mike Smith said:
"We have been very fortunate in forging an excellent working relationship with Stockley Park Management. This is a really good example of a strong link with a local business which is helping the police to reduce crime and improve local confidence. We are grateful for this generous long term sponsorship. Stockley Park is a significant local employer covering a large area. This asset will enable us to work as efficiently as possible in delivering a safer community to the rest of the ward. Budgets are tight for everyone and this car will offer real benefits not only for Stockley Park but also for our local residents. It will prove to be a valuable resource allowing officers greater mobility and improving overall response in delivering a service to local residents."
Stockley Park Director Mike Perks said:
“Stockley Park is delighted to continue sponsorship of a new police car for the Botwell Safer Neighbourhoods Team for a further 3 years. We are fortunate to have excellent security on the Park and the management and security teams have developed good working relationships with the local Police. We work closely with the Botwell Safer Neighbourhoods Team, who provide advice and support and help make Stockley Park a safe place to work. We are very happy through this sponsorship to support the Police in the wider local community.”
